Maryjane Farr, MD, MSc, MPH, is an Endowed Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Section Chief of Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Heart Transplantation, and the Director of Clinical and Translational Research at the Penn Transplant Institute. Her areas of expertise are in neurocognitive outcomes after cardiogenic shock, primary graft failure after heart transplantation, desensitization, acute and chronic antibody-mediated rejection, and long-term survivorship after heart transplantation. Dr. Farr was previously an Endowed Professor of Medicine, Heart Failure Section Chief, and Medical Director of Heart Transplantation at UT Southwestern for nearly five years, and before that, an Endowed Professor of Medicine and the Medical Director of Heart Transplantation at Columbia University.
