Jason Radfar is the Clinical Coordinator of Rehab Services at Memorial Hermann Hospital–Texas Medical Center, where he leads the rehabilitation team within the Heart and Vascular Institute. A specialist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Jason has extensive experience managing and advancing care for patients supported by complex cardiac devices, including LVADs, Impellas,CentriMag systems, ECMO, and Total Artificial Hearts.
He has pioneered early mobility protocols for patients undergoing femorally cannulated ECMO therapy and developed institution-wide initiatives such as updated post-sternal precaution program. As an active member of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiopulmonary unit’s medical review board, Jason plays an integral role in evaluating patients for heart and lung transplantation or mechanical assist device implantation.
A frequent presenter at national meetings, including the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) and ASAIO, Jason’s research focuses on post-surgical mobility, device management, and outcomes optimization for advanced cardiac populations. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Education in Health Science Studies from Baylor University.
