Saliha Erdem, MD, is a cardiology fellow at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Institute, where she is currently completing her training in cardiovascular disease. She completed her internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and received her medical degree from Gazi University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey.
Dr. Erdem has a strong academic focus on interventional and structural cardiology, with research interests spanning high-risk PCI, mechanical circulatory support, cardiogenic shock, valvular heart disease, and advanced cardiac imaging. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at major national and international cardiology meetings, including ACC, AHA, SCAI, and TCT.
She is actively involved in clinical research and multidisciplinary collaborations and plans to pursue advanced training in interventional cardiology, with a long-term goal of building a career that integrates complex clinical care with impactful research.
