Paulina Provencio Lameiras is a fifth-semester medical student at Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City, where she has completed clinical rotations in both public and private healthcare institutions in Mexico City, gaining exposure to diverse clinical environments in highly prestigious medical centers.
Throughout her academic training, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to student leadership, academic organization, and professional development. She has served as President of the Internal Medicine Interest Group and has been an active member of three consecutive administrations of the Medical Student Society. She currently holds the position of Secretary General of the ACC Anáhuac Chapter (American College of Cardiology), where she contributes to the organization of academic activities, scientific dissemination, and initiatives aimed at fostering early engagement in cardiology among medical students.
In addition to her clinical education, she holds paramedic and instructor certification from the Mexican Red Cross since 2024, experience that has strengthened her competencies in prehospital care, medical education, teamwork, and decision-making in high-pressure clinical settings. She is also a member of the Alpha Health Sciences Leadership Group, reflecting her ongoing involvement in leadership training within the health sciences.
Her academic and research interests are reflected in her participation in the INVESTIGA Research Group at Universidad Anáhuac, where she has been involved in clinical and educational research. She is a co-author of the manuscript “Validation of the Breast Cancer Awareness Measure (B-CAM) Questionnaire among University Students in Mexico City: A Cross-Sectional Study”, which is currently under peer review. This work focuses on cancer awareness, early detection strategies, and health education among university populations.
Her academic excellence has been formally recognized with the Academic Excellence Award, granted for achieving the highest grade point average of her cohort during the January–June 2025 academic term. She complements her medical training with a trilingual educational background, having completed her studies at the Alexander von Humboldt German School in Mexico City, which enables her to participate effectively in international and multicultural academic environments.
She aspires to become a role model for future physicians within her community and to pursue advanced training in Internal Medicine or Cardiology, with a particular interest in ethical practice, academic medicine, and patient-centered care.
