Dr. Nafis Deen is currently a second-year internal medicine resident at Methodist San Antonio. He completed his undergraduate studies in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University before attending Kansas City University for his medical degree. During medical school, Nafis also earned a Master of Business Administration degree. As he progresses in his training, Nafis is particularly interested in pursuing a career in pulmonary and critical care medicine, where he hopes to integrate his clinical expertise with the leadership and healthcare management skills that he developed during his MBA training.
Outside of medicine, Nafis maintains an active lifestyle and diverse interests that contribute to his well-being during residency training. As a dedicated football fan, he follows the game closely and appreciates both the strategic elements and competitive nature of the sport. Nafis also plays tennis regularly, which allows him to stay physically active while developing the hand-eye coordination and quick decision-making skills that complement his medical training. These recreational pursuits provide him with essential balance and stress relief, helping him maintain the resilience needed for the demanding field of critical care medicine.
