ECMO Coordinator

Crystal Pearson serves as one of Methodist Hospital’s ECMO Coordinators. She began her clinical career in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in 2016, establishing a strong foundation in critical care. In her role as Coordinator, she played a key part in building and developing the hospital’s ECMO Specialist training program, ensuring the team is equipped to provide the highest standards of patient care.
As ECMO Coordinator, she is also actively engaged in research, contributing as a data collector and abstract author to advance the field of extracorporeal support. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she extended her expertise as a traveling ECMO specialist, supporting centers across the country during a time of critical need.
Among her career highlights, she was instrumental in preparing and submitting Methodist Hospital’s ELSO Award application, which resulted in our center achieving the prestigious Platinum designation.
