Casey Frost Miller, MSN, AGACNP-BC, ANP-BC, is the ECMO Program Director and Lead Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiothoracic Surgery at Emory Healthcare. Dual board‑certified in adult and acute care practice, she has extensive experience in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, cardiogenic shock, and ECMO management across leading institutions including Vanderbilt, Cedars-Sinai, Stanford, and Kaiser Permanente.
Since joining Emory in 2020, Casey has led system-wide initiatives to strengthen ECMO operations, APP development, and high‑reliability critical care pathways. Her work includes advancing safe, standardized intra‑hospital transport of ECMO and shock patients, optimizing team readiness and coordination during high‑risk patient movement throughout the hospital.
She is dedicated to building resilient, collaborative systems that improve outcomes for patients requiring advanced heart and lung support.
