Keshava Rajagopal, MD, PhD, is Professor of Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Directory of Lung Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory at Sidney Kimmel Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University and the Bruce&Robbi Toll Heart and Vascular Institute of Jefferson Health. His clinical expertise and interests are in the surgical management of end-stage heart and lung disease. Dr. Rajagopal's research interests are in the molecular physiology of cardiac and respiratory failure, and in cardiovascular/pulmonary bioengineering and physiology, and he is an actively funded investigator. He has published >150 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and is an Editorial Board member of several leading journals. Dr. Rajagopal is the President-Elect of the American Society of Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO), and is an active member of several learned societies.
