Amar Kalidas, DO, is an Internal Medicine resident at the University of Houston/HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, where he began training in July 2024. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine and previously graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a BA in Management through the Honors Program.
Dr. Kalidas has a strong academic and research interest in cardiovascular medicine, with particular focus on complex cardiopulmonary interactions, structural heart disease, and critical care cardiology. He has presented abstracts at national meetings with topics ranging from cardiac tamponade and embolic stroke to postoperative ARDS. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications and public presentations.
His leadership experience includes cofounding a youth outreach organization serving underserved communities and participating in international educational initiatives in India. Dr. Kalidas plans to pursue fellowship training in cardiology.
