A native Houstonian, Dr. Aiyasawmy Dave Dorairajan completed his Internal Medicine–Pediatrics and Adult Critical Care training at LSU Health Sciences Center–Shreveport, followed by an additional year of Pediatric Critical Care training at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School.
His clinical expertise includes post-cardiac surgery care, ECMO, Cardiogenic Shock, and fostering humanity within the patient–family experience in the ICU. He is currently leading the development of a dedicated Cardiogenic Shock Team for HCA Gulf Coast Division and will soon spearhead the creation of an ARDS Rescue Team to further strengthen advanced critical care capabilities across the region.
Beyond his clinical leadership, Dr. Dorairajan is passionate about physician wellness and the role of mind–body medicine in health and disease. He is also deeply engaged in global humanitarian efforts, supporting initiatives that provide free congenital heart disease surgeries worldwide and free medical education in India.
