During the tenure in Bern, active participation in international research collaborations, notably with the Munich xenotransplantation group led by Prof. Bruno Reichart. The team conducted pioneering work in pig-to-baboon preclinical cardiac xenotransplantation models, with findings being extensively published in prestigious journals including Nature. Research interests focus on advanced heart failure, including cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support systems, and xenotransplantation. Over 40 peer-reviewed publications, associate editor for The VAD Journal and The Journal of Shock and Hemodynamics, guest reviewer for numerous high-impact journals such as JACC, EHJ, JHLT, ESCHF, J Cachexia Sarcopenia Muscle, AAPractice, PloS One. Awarded Swiss Society of Cardiac Surgeons Young Investigator Award in 2021, recipient of two research fellowship grants for LVAD-related research in 2022, each in the sum of USD 80 000. Co-Editor and Co-Author of the recently published textbook ‘Management of Acute and Chronic Severe Heart Failure: Advances in Mechanical Circulatory Support’ by Springer Nature. Plan to continue ti grow the academic career in Heart Failure Surgery, MCS and Transplantation and help steer the field into the future.
