Laura Quintana, MSN, AGACNP-BC is a Cardiac Critical Care NP, who works in the Cardiac ICU for Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC caring for primerely cardiogenic shock patients with MCS, including Impella 5.5, VA ECMO. She was born in Colombia and immigrated to the US at 14 years of age, since has lived with her family in Charlotte NC. She attended undergraduate school at Queens university of Charlotte where she received her BSN, worked as an RN in the CCU and CTICU at Atrium Health for 4 years before returning to school to obtain her MSN and AGACNP-BC at the University of South Carolina, post graduation completed the Critical Care Fellowship at the same institution, worked with the critical care team for 6 years and later trasnitioned to continue to work in the same unit with the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute. She is married with 3 children ages 2, 9, 10 enjoys reading novels, going on vacations, and making bread. She enjoys caring for Cardiogenic shock population primeraly on MCS and doing cardiac US.
